US Drives Recovery Across the Region

The US spurred all of the recovery in North American jet fuel demand in April, when volumes in the three countries reached 1.4 million barrels per day. US consumption continued on its upward trek to nearly 1.3 million b/d, with major carriers absorbing two-thirds of those jet fuel deliveries. Liftings at airports along the East Coast jumped by the widest 30% margin as air- lines added more long-haul fights to the West Coast and increased fight frequen- cies to leisure destinations.
