Nine years ago, I designed a bike helmet mirror and produced its azimuth-elevation mount with my then-new 3D printer, hoping the result would be more durable than the fragile store-bought mirrors we'd been using. It survived much longer than I expected, but last summer its tiny screws finally lost their grip. So, I designed the new mirror mount shown in Photo 1 with a standard plastic ball in a 3D printed clamp. Unlike the Az-El design in Photo 2 (from my DM 6.3 and 7.1 columns), a pair of M3 screws compress the clamp around the ball for easy adjustment in both axes.
