Earlier detection of bovine TB

Anew 1001 to speea up the detection of bovine TB and increase its accuracy could be launched within the next two years, according to Dr Scott Denholm, of Scotland's Rural College (SRUC).It will use routine milk sample analysis combined with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide alerts on infected dairy cows.The new tool will utilise spectral data produced from monthly milk samples collected by National Milk Records (NMR) as part of routine milk recording. It will be sent to the SRUC research team, which will use it to identify TB-infected cows.
