INDIA:FSSAI Publishes Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations

On 17th November 2020 the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) passed the Food Safety And Standards (Labelling And Display) Regulations, 2020 with effect from 18th November 2020.1On December 14, 2020, the FSSAI published the Gazette notification on the "Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2020". The Regulations lay down the following provisions:? Chapter 1 prescribes the labelling requirements of pre-packaged foods and display of essential in formation on premises where food is manufactured, processed, served and stored.
