Renault Trucks' Urban Lab 2 trial targets urban fuel saving technologies

France - Renault Trucks, the Saint-Priest-based subsidiary of Sweden's Volvo Group, introduced Urban Lab 2, a distribution concept vehicle, at this year's Pollutec 2016 in Lyon's Eurexpo exhibition centre. Developed with six partners under the collaborative Efficient Distribution Truck (EDIT) project, it combines innovative technology in aerodynamics, hybridisation of the engine, tyres and vehicle-infrastructure communication to achieve potential fuel savings of up to 13%.
