Renault's Urban Lab 2 vehicle meets fuel-saving target

Renault Trucks says its Urban Lab 2 vehicle has achieved a 12.8% reduction in fuel consumption and CO_2 emissions, compared to the Range D Wide, after extensive tests.Eight months in development and seven months of testing resulted in savings of 3.5 litres of fuel and 9kg of CO_2 per 100km, says Renault, with the test vehicle equipped with aerodynamics, new drivetrain, tyres and communication technology.
