摘要

The financial results for Japan's leading paper and board (P&B) firms for the year ending March 2021 show the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on business, with sales down at almost all the firms surveyed. With graphic paper demand greatly down and overall packaging demand also somewhat weaker than the year-earlier period, in many cases profits declined substantially as well. Market leader Oji Holdings remained in the black to the tune of almost ¥50 billion ($458 million), but that was down almost 15% from the year ending March 2020.
