Communicating risks during pregnancy: A workshop on the use of data from animal developmental toxicity studies in pregnancy labels for drugs

The Teratology Society Public Affairs Committee organized a workshop held on 23 June 2003 at the Society's Annual Meeting. The workshop was cosponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Office of Women's Health, the March of Dimes, Merck Research Laboratories, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, the Neurobehavioral Teratology Society, the Organization of Teratology Information Services, and Pfizer, Inc. The Workshop Organizing Committee included Christina Chambers (chair), Judy Buelke-Sam, Jan Friedman, Carole Kimmel, Janine Polifka, Anthony Scialli, and Melissa Tassinari. Additional assistance in the planning of the workshop came from Sandra Kweder, Kathleen Uhl, and Dianne Kennedy.
