Reflection on the Past, Present and Future of Analytical and Quantitative Cytology and Histology

Analytical and Quantitative Cytology and Histology (AQCH), whose 2007 Impact Factor is 2.940, has a long history of publishing leading research in cell biology, pathology and oncology based on analytical and quantitative methods.Table I categorizes the articles published by AQCH by general topic for the years 2006-2007. Image analysis, flow cytometry, immunohisto-chemistry, advanced statistics, human tumor pathology and oncology, related in particular to urinary system and male genital organs, continue to be significant components of articles published over these years. AQCH has also become the publication venue of studies describing new molecularand genetic findings of human cancers and of studies demonstrating advances in risk assessment, detection, diagnosis and prognostic indications.
