EPA: 'No current plans' for TSCA risk management procedural rule

The US EPA has confirmed it has no immediate plan to fulfil an industry request for it to develop a procedural rule outlining how it develops TSCA risk management rules. The agency’s position on the rulemaking – which is in line with priorities it outlined in the spring 2021 update to its regulatory agenda – reflects a focus on imposing risk management rules for the first ten substances reviewed under the amended law, rather than putting in place an overarching procedure for those types of actions.
