EPA focuses on TSCA reporting obligations over procedural rules

The US EPA has indicated plans to move ahead on a number of reporting mandates on a wide range of chemicals, even while it de-prioritises the development of procedural rules that could help solidify recent policy changes to the TSCA programme. The reporting obligations, set out in the EPA's spring regulatory agenda, would impose new obligations on a range of companies to provide information that the agency can use as it prioritises existing substances for TSCA risk evaluations and completes ongoing assessments.
