Polish shale operators slam new draft law

Warsaw-Polish and foreign operators, includ- ing US majors ConocoPhillips and Chevron, have criticized the government's latest plans to regulate future conventional and uncon- ventional hydrocarbon production, saying the legislative changes would render shale gas exploration in the country non-viable. The latest version of the draft amend- ments, prepared by Poland's environment ministry, were sent to the Polish Cabinet for approval last month.
