China to grant crude import licenses to two refiners

Singapore—China’s Ministry of Commerce late Monday said it will grant import licenses to Dongming Petrochemical and Beifang Asphalt Fuel, easing restrictions on trade currently handled by several state-owned companies. The ministry has released a notice on the two teapot refineries on its website that is made available for public comments until August 17. The two refiners will be granted import licenses after the seven-day notice period.
