Oil Prices Edge Up on US Fed Comments, GDP Data

Crude oil futures rose despite moderately bearish US crude oil inventory data as employment and economic growth in the world's largest crude-consuming nation picked up speed and the US Federal Reserve said it would continue to pump money into the economy. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) weekly petroleum report showed that crude oil stocks grew by 400,000 bbl to 364.6 million bbl in the week ended Jul. 26, against expectations of a sizeable draw.
