Teijin sales fall, proft plummets

Teijin has reported net sales of ￥535.2 billion ($4.8 billion) for the third quarter of 2016 compared with sales of ￥591.3 billion in the corresponding period of 2015, a decrease of 9.5% year over year (YOY). Operating income in the latest quarter was ￥43.6 billion, a decrease of 21.4% YOY. EBITDA in third-quarter 2016 was ￥71.6 bil- lion, a decrease of 12.7% YOY.
