Casting plummet for angling line - has slide element with chamber for baited hook opened by inertia when plummet hits water bed

The casting plummet is intended for securing to the end of angling line. It comprises a body (1) with a weighting lead (4) at its forward end and has three radial wings (2) in the shape of obtuse-angled triangles with their shorter sides at the rear. The plastics body contains a plastics slide element (3) which is also lead-weighted (4) at the front and has a rearward projection for fixing to the end of the line. This element contains a chamber capable of containing a baited hook connected to a side line which hook is released when the element slides forward due to its inertia as the plummer hits the water bed (seabed).
