The casting plummet is intended for securing (5) to the end of an angling line. It comprises a plastic body (2) with tubular front end for securing the weighting lead (3) and has four radial wings (1) in the shape of triangles with their shortest sides at the rear. The wings are at 90 deg. towards one another. The apex of each triangle is pref. about a third of its base length from the rear. The apices are pref. radiused and the wings about 1 to 2mm thick. The lead (3) is pref. interchangeable to alter the weight.
