Crude oil prices continued to recover last week, with Brent increasing by $0.50/bbl to $61.20/bbl amid support from supply curbs by OPEC and partners and from continued trade negotiations between the United States and China. US nitration-grade toluene prices weakened as falling benzene prices cut into disproportionation economics. In Europe, toluene supply remained tight, and no spot material was offered. Asian prices declined enough to open an arbitrage to the United States.
