Valvoline to build its first lubricants plant in China

Valvoline, a leading supplier of premium branded lubricants and auto- motive services, on Wednesday announced plans to build its frst plant in China at a cost of approximately 443 million renminbi ($70 million). The project also represents Valvoline’s largest single blending plant investment worldwide. The plant will be located on approximately 20 acres at Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province, and is expected to begin production by the end of 2020 with an annual capacity in excess of 115 million liters of lubricants. Valvoline was spun of from Ashland in 2016.
