Toray to increase production capacity for large tow carbon fiber in Hungary

Toray Industries says that its subsidiary, Zoltek (St. Louis, Missouri), will increase large tow carbon fiber production capacity at Nyergesújfalu, Hungary, from 10,000 metric tons/year to 15,000 metric tons/year. The entire investment exceeds $130 million and production will start in early 2020. Zoltek is also raising the capacity of its Mexican facility from 5,000 metric tons/year to 10,000 metric tons/year.
