Sibur begins construction of Amur gas chemical mega-project

Sibur (Moscow) says construction work is under way at its $10-billion Amur gas chemical complex at Blagoveshchensk, Russia, with the project scheduled for completion in 2024 and commissioning in 2025. Foundation work has started at the site in Russia's Far East, near the Chinese border, with the facility set to become one of the world's largest and most advanced basic polymer producers, it says. An ofcial ceremony was held online and attended via video conference by Mikhail Mishustin, Russia's prime minister, plus ministers, and Sibur company ofcials.
