DowDuPont board approves separation of materials science division to become the new Dow

DowDuPont announced today that its board had approved the previously announced separation of DowDuPont’s materials science division, which will become the new Dow, on 1 April. In connection with the separation, the DowDuPont board declared a pro-rata dividend of all the outstanding shares of common stock of Dow Inc., formerly known as Dow Holdings, Inc., the parent of DowDuPont’s materials science division. The dividend is expected to be payable on 1 April, the distribution date, to DowDuPont stockholders of record as of the close of business on 21 March, the record date.
