The use of the harmonic-balance method for analysing non-sinu-soidal and asymmetric power supply systems

Algorithms for the application of the harmonic balance method in developing a program for analysing non-sinusoidal and asymmetric conditions in electric power supply systems of arbitrary configuration with the most common non-linear elements, such as controllable converters and magnetizing transformer shunts, are considered. The range of' problems that can be successfully solved using the software developed are discussed. Some specific examples of analysis are given.
