摘要

Certain issues of mathematical modelling of processes for the making of coatings by ion - plasmic methods are formulated in this paper. The concept of active surface zone is introduced for the description of non - thermal activation processes. It has been demonstrated that the effect of surface focusons can account for non - thermal activation processes on the surface. Major stages of adsorbed particles' evolution are described based on the notions of the theory of probability. A number of rather generalised relations used in the theory of the forming of a new phase on a solid surface have been defined with a higher degree of precision.
