A surgery reporting system based on 4D-log record generated from surgical navigation system

Recently, electronic information in medicine begins to spread. Thus, we developed a reporting system, which automatically generates an electronic surgery report from intraoperative 4-D data measured by a surgical navigation system. If the properties of the data is written by XML, our system automatically extract and calculate surgical information for surgery report, and transforms it into various report, such as for doctor or patient, using XSL which is XML style sheet. This report enables various validation of surgery, because it has intraoperative data. We introduce an example of using this system for a spinal alignment correct surgery.
