This invention describes a laundry detergent in powder form and a process for its manufacture; the detergent powder has fast solubility and good flowability. Subject spray-dried powder consists of: (I) 20-80 wt.% of a first spray-dried powder containing < 5 wt.% sulfate, anionic surfactant and a bulk density of 300-450 g/L and (ii) 20-80 wt.% of a second spray-dried particle containing > 45 wt.% sulfate with a bulk density of 350-700 g/L.
