Computation of the availability destroyed in offset strip-fin heat exchangers

摘要

A computing simulation method and. the second law of thermodynamics have been applied to minimize the irreversibilities in the offset strip fin exchangers. A simple way of simulating an offset strip fin exchanger and of computing the availabilitydestroyed is described. It is also shown the usefulness for designers of this approach in order to evaluate the efficiency of heat exchangers.
