Sherritt International Corp. expects the remaining major process plant modules at its Ambatovy nickel joint venture in Madagascar will be turned over to its commissioning team in the third quarter, the company said Wednesday. Thirty-eight of the 56 modules at Ambatovy have been completed so far. Sherritt also expects the second unit of the power plant to become operational in the third quarter, with the first unit already running for three weeks. The third and final unit will be commissioned in the fourth quarter, the company said.
