20 INJURED AT U.S. STEEL'S CLAIRTON WORKS PITTSBURGH - U.S. Steel Corp. had the B coke battery at its Clairton (Pa.) Works back to normal operating levels within about week of a July 21 explosion that damaged the battery and injured 20. The Pittsburgh-based company said the cause of the blast remained under investigation. "U.S. Steel is continuing to investigate the cause of the incident," the company said in a statement issued the day after the accident.
