Political uncertainty in Peru has put several major mining projects in question and has some big-name miners delaying investment decisions until after a presidential election run-off. With no presidential candidate receiving a majority of votes in the April 10 general election, the South American nation will head to the polls again June 5. The outcome could make or break some miners' ability to develop projects in the ore-rich nation, market participants and analysts told AMM.
