摘要

The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) has the distinction of being ALA's smallest division and yet has the most diverse membership. ASCLA represents state library agency employees, staff members in multitype library cooperatives, special-population librarians, and librarians who work outside of traditional library settings. CONSORTIAL SUCCESSES Michael Golrick, director of the Southern Connecticut Library Council, shares his views on multitype consortial success in a special publication of Interface now available at www.ala.org/ascla/golrick.html. Golrick profiles 14 successful consortia including the North Suburban (Ill.) Library System, Mideastern Ohio Regional Library Organization, and South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative. PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ASCLA's Americans with Disabilities Assembly has drafted a policy on library services to people with disabilities that will be considered as a new ALA policy. Check out the draft at www.ala.org/ascla/ada_assembly.html. ON THE ROADS The Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation awarded funding for the fifth year of the Roads to Learning project to educate librarians about learning disabilities. Visit www.ala.org/roads/.
