摘要

The purpose of this paper is to propose the framework of relevant leaning system for second language education based on both theoretical literature and the experimental data. We empirically investigated how background knowledge and language proficiency have influence on the use of visual and textual information in the academic articles. Based on the experimental and theoretical data, we propose the framework for academic reading support system for nonnative speakers by facilitating non-prose and prose information for comprehension of academic articles. Moreover, this system includes two types of teaching strategies that distinguish between domain-dependent and domain-independent tactics for increasing expansibility
