Seaway Pipeline Decision Could Narrow Brent-WTI Spread

BMI View: Enbridge’s decision to abandon the Wrangler oil pipeline in favour of reversing the Seaway oil pipeline achieves the same objective – relieving the crude supply glut at storage tanks in Cushing – if only by a different name. A frm decision on the Seaway pipeline should see a signifcant narrowing of the Brent-WTI spread by the time full capacity is brought onstream in early 2013.
