Sir, I read the report on the house-dust mite nasal provocation test with great interest. Chusakul et al. concluded that "Nasal provocation is a valuable test to confirm the diagnosis of D. ptero-nyssinus allergy, especially when the wheal from the SPT is small." This finding is concordant with those reported previously. I have some comments on this report. First, data on sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy must be reported since this study is a diagnostic test evaluation, Second, false positive rate of nasal provocation test is high and this is the main problem for this test.
