富山湾におけるホタルイカの漁況予報について

摘要

Many people have been interested in the changes in the annual catches of firefly squid,Watasenia scintillans, in Toyama Bay. Hence, prediction of the fishing condition of firefly squid has beenpublished by Toyama Prefectural Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Research Center, Fisheries Re-search Institute. The prediction is published on 1 March, based on the catch of firefly squid on Februaryin Toyama Bay, the number of firefly squid collected onboard a research vessel Tateyama-maru on Feb-ruary in Toyama Bay, and the changes in the isothermal layer having a water temperature of 14°C in thedepth of 100 m in the offing of Sanin and Wakasa regions. The predicted catch of firefly squid is similarto the actual catch, but much more accurate prediction is needed by further study.
