PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to adjust a final stop position of a projectile with sufficient accuracy regardless of the state of wear of a break device and the level of remaining energy of the projectile at the time of entering into the break device first, and to make it possible to sharply improve the life of the device second.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for controlled braking of a projectile in a projectile loom comprises two opposing braking elements 1, 2 parallel to a direction of the movement of a projectile P. The braking element 2 is movable, and in order to tighten the projectile between these braking elements by a brake force F, it is operated by an electric drive having a linear motor or a rotation motor.
