New high-vanadium surfacing material for hot deformation dies and moulds

摘要

Based on comparative analysis of structure and properties of standard surfacing materials the more cheap surfacing material with high operating properties is developed. Hardness of new material 235P5M2#PHI#10C is 67,5-68,5 HRC, at heating up to 700 deg C during 4 hours is 45 HRC and wear resistance is 5,1 more than one of standard P6M5 high speed steel. Recommendations for new surfacing material application are given.
