We developed a victim data base ("2004-2013") for heavy rainfall disaster events in Japan from 2004 to 2013, and 611 victims were classified. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of victims caused by heavy rainfall disaster in Hiroshima City on August 20,2014 ("HIROSHIMA 2014") in comparison with "2004-2013". Characteristics of victims by "HIROSHIMA 2014" were as follows:1)99% of the victims were death by sediment disaster. 2) 92% of the victims were killed indoor. 3) 41% of victims were elderly people 65 years or older. 2) is similar to a characteristic of victims caused by sediment disaster based on "2004-2013". The ratio oi 3 is lower than "2004-2013". We investigated the inhabitants of 47 washed away households in the case of "HIROSHIMA 2014". All the inhabitants or some inhabitants died from 32 of 47 households. There was not a victim with 12 households, and three households were absence. There were 111 people in these households when a disaster occurred, and 60 people died.
