摘要

The author derived a method to obtain thelength distribution of visible part of fibers in atransparent matrix of a 2-dimentional composite. Someuseful results were obtained by numericalcalculations. (1)The length distribution of visiblepart is scarcely affected by fiber directiondistribution in the composite.(2)The fiber directionobserved at the surface tends to distribute to thefiber rich direction compared with that in thecomposite. (3) Observed profile at the surface ishardly affected by the fiber length except the fiber length is extremely short.
