摘要

There are a lot of findings to suggest the possibility that the nonlinear dynamics of biological neuron contributes to higher order brain functions. We developed biologically-inspired VLSI neural networks. First of all we compared characteristic differences between neuron model proposed by authors and biological one. It was shown that similar properties were observed both on membrane potential dynamics and phase response. Next, we developed a post-synaptic potential circuit in order to make use of the ability of our neuron model. Finally, implemented VLSI neural network circuits were introduced.
