Increasing the reliability of the Hydraulic Drive As a Means of Effective Introduction of Hydraulic Mining Shovels at the Mining Enterprises of the FSU

The authors analyze the experience of using mining shovels with hydraulic drive at various mining enterprises of Russia and other FSU countries. They consider the factors reducing the reliability of the hydraulic drive on mining shovels, that include primarily the rather poor level of maintenance, a high level of pollution of the ambient air in the working zone, and extreme (both plus and minus) ambient temperatures. They propose a complex of measures ensuring the increase in the efficiency of the use of mining shovels with hydraulic drive under conditions found at the Russian mining enterprises.
