摘要

The American Journal of Physical Anthropology (AJPA) publishes from a particularly diverse breath of disciplines (Ruff, 2013) including paleontology, osteology, and genetics. While these studies typically draw on data from inanimate artifacts, other investigations include those of living populations including humans and our living fossil record, extant non-human primates (NHP). Obviously, there are a range of unique ethical considerations to which researchers are subject when collecting data from human and nonhuman populations, including the assurance that data are collected in a transparent manner, that one does not compromise those populations, and that authors publishing data in AJPA must comply with the American Association of Physical Anthropologists Code of Ethics.
