Radiation configuration factors of a pig to an adjoining pig which are respectively kept in individual cages.

The study was conducted to determine the thermal radiation configuration factors of the standing pig to an adjoining pig of the same weight that were kept in individual cages. Configuration factors were calculated using computer graphics andxbgncxdsdwderyihuttyith liveweights of 27, 65 and 88 kg were used. These polyhedric surface models were three dimensional graphic pigs with many surface-mounted triangular patches. The percentage errors of the calculated configuration factors in this study were observed to be <=1%. The figures for determining the configuration factors in some geometrical relationships between the pig and the adjoining pigs were presented as a function of the distance between pigs with body weight as the parameter.
