摘要

The author of this paper, Ivankova, brings together at least three complex and dynamic conceptual lenses to bear on the long-standing challenge of promoting and implementing patient-centred care. As the Australian College of Nursing (2016) notes in its position statement on person-centred care, the embedding of patient-centred care into health care systems continues to be a significant challenge for nurses and health professionals alike. This despite evidence to support the positive impact that patient-centred care has on both health outcomes and job satisfaction. Hence one might question, not for the first time, the degree to which nursing and health care practices are data driven and evidence based.
