摘要

The reviewed study has the challenging remit of summarising the activity of a 20-year programme which originated from a 4-year funded project of five nursing homes and their key partners, cumulating in 2017 with an ongoing government commitment to supporting 20 countrywide development centres with key responsibilities for promoting evidence-based practice, supporting learning cultures and being a resource for local initiatives. The concept of the teaching nursing/care home is not new, and has seen a recent resurgence of interest in different countries (Hockley et al., 2016). The increasing policy focus on strengthening health and social care integration, alongside progressively more complex care needs of older people, makes the investment in education, research and workforce development in this setting a high priority.
