Kenya/Uganda ready for export pipe award

Kenya and Uganda expect to award the front end engineering design (FEED) contract for the US $4.5 Bn oil export pipeline early next month. The countries invited bids in June for a consultant for the 1,300km (808 mile) pipeline that will take crude from the Albert Basin in Uganda and Lokichar Basin in Kenya to Lamu in the East coast for international export.
