Victoria readies for work on new Cameroon block

Victoria Oil & Gas expects to start work on its new Matanda block in Cameroon in the fourth quarter after receiving approval from the government while it has also finalised funding for work on its Logbaba acreage. Glencore had previously operated the onshore and offshore Matanda block which neighbours Victoria's existing onshore Logbaba gas acreage. The trading giant handed it back after shallow water drilling uncovered a complex reservoir system (see AOG 11 December 2014).
