EER keeps faith with Nigerian shallows

Emerald Energy Resources (EER) is looking at drilling another shallow water exploration well in its acreage off Nigeria next year after disappointing results from a well last quarter. The company is operator of shallow water OML 141 where a well targeting the Dila prospect reached total depth of 12,000ft (3,658m) and encountered oil, but not in commercial quantities. The company is now looking at shooting new 3D seismic along with a new exploration well next year, according to partner Oryx Petroleum.
