Hunt prepares for Benin deep giant

Hunt Oil has taken a drillship for a deepwater well off Benin later this year when it completes pre-salt drilling for Shell off Gabon. The Benin well will be in a water depth of around 3,610ft (1,100m) in Block 2 and is likely to be on the 1.3 Bn bbl Gbenonkpo West prospect which is an Albian/Lower Turanian structure.
