PetroGulf Ghana has taken over deepwater acreage previously operated by Eco Atlantic with a commitment well due by the end of 2018. The UK minnow had controversially become operator of the Deepwater Cape Three Points West block late last year. It covers 944sq km and had a commitment including one well in the first three years. The acreage shares a northern boundary with Eni's Offshore Cape Three Points block and a western boundary with Hess' South Cape Three Points Deepwater block. It was drawn up from part of the Hess block and Eni's old Offshore Cape Three Points South block.
